Overview and Key Ideas:
Every Piece of You is a poster project that conceptually draws from iSpy books that my brother and I would read at my great grandma's house. It showcases over 70 objects holding some sentimental significance to my late great grandmother, Dorothy, and childhood cat, Boomer. Although these objects are small and may not appear grand to an unknowing audience, the objects are ingrained with memory and association.
With most of the objects depicted in black and white, color is used to emphasize certain objects with deep significance. These objects feature a small caption about what it is and how it is tied to them. Within the clustered objects, two paragraphs sit on the top right and bottom left featuring journal entries about their impact in my life and about how I will preserve their legacy within all that I do.
Altogether, the objects, typefaces, and journal entries hope to shed light on the deep love I carry for those who matter to me. They paint the picture of the profound impact that a single person or animal can have on another.
Project details
Project completed over Fall 2024 and displayed at the 2025 Undergraduate Arts Exhibition. Awarded Honorable Mention in Graphic Design by an external juror.
